Bitihorn trail running Shorts

These shorts are by far the best product from Norrøna that has come on the market. Sadly for you and for me, they are currently off the market as Norrøna is working on a new variant for their Lyngen collection.

@Norrøna can I get these? - Your’s truly Alex.

Let’s dig into why these 100-gram, 1-hour dry trail running shorts are the best thing that ever happened to me.

I will go off the bat and list what I love about these shorts.

Made from over 50% recycled synthetic materials, makes them a great choice for anyone that likes a good environmental choice.

They are light, I would say as light as your T-shirt. Weighing in at about 99.7 grams. Making them a joy to run in and they feel like a delight to wear.

They dry quickly, making them incredibly nice for hiking, running, and climbing in summer. I use these to swap whenever my hiking pants get too sweaty during hikes.

They have a small glued pocket on your left leg with enough space for a wallet and perhaps a condom, depending on your size.

They are coated with a water repellant (DWR) making them a great choice for rainy days and even swimming!

Here comes those cons to last,

Durability of the fabric is my main concern with these shorts. The overall design is great but the textile is quite fragile making it prone to fray.

The glued pocket is irreparable, if the zipper breaks, unhooks, or anything, it’s actually impossible to fix it.
This is kind of my biggest gripe with these shorts, they are made in a way to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
Yet they are irreparable, which negates the idea of being an eco-friendly alternative because if they break… They are broken.
