Falketind warmwool 2 stretch jacket

This sweater is fast becoming a favorite mid-layer of mine. It’s warm as heck, making it perfect for those rainy and snowy days.
It’s incredibly flexible and stretch, I have to say, that helps you incredibly much during scrambling sessions in autumn and full-on ice climbing during winter.
I’m a very warm-blooded person, this layer and a shell jacket, keeps me warm up until about -15 celsius before I need an additional layer.

Let’s jump into the benefits of this sweater and why it’s likely going on my top 10 equipment list.

Warmth, It’s incredibly warm for it’s weight. It weighs about 500 grams but keeps you warm and dry.

The wool mix is incredibly good at transporting sweat from your skin away from your body. It breathes quite a bit and you feel it while wearing the sweater.

It’s incredibly durable for being a soft sweater, I have slipped several times in gravel on mountains without making a single scratch in it.

A small sidenote, it’s incredibly nice seeing that Norrøna sticked with the holes for your thumbs near the wrist cuffs, making this sweater an incredibly tight fit.

Now off to the cons, for this one, I actually only have one!

It’s extremely good at circulating air, which means pulling air through the material, then dragging the sweat out.
So without a shell jacket and a mild breast, you start feeling the windchill quite quickly.
